Pope Paul VI on St Thomas AquinasOn 5th December, 1974, Pope Paul VI published an Apostolic Letter to the Master General of the Dominican Order on the Seventh Centenary of death of St Thomas Aquinas in which he stressed the importance of the perennial philosophy of St Thomas in the Church and in her teachings. An English translation of the letter has been generally unavailable on the internet. more II. Pope John Paul on St Thomas AquinasOn 13th September, 1980, Pope John Paul II addressed the participants in the Eighth International Thomistic Congress stressing the fundamental place in Catholic philosophy and theology of the teaching of St Thomas Aquinas.
